This is the end of forecasting a color trend for MJ fall winter collection 2010.
It is so interesting to analyse the color trend and a famous designer ‘s brand. It is my first time to do that. Haha~~

I am used to anlayse which color scheme the designer use. I think that I like looking out somebody’s wearing since I am a Itc student. I maybe appreciate or dislike their outfits .
HAHA~

I know this is not the end for the blog. It also will be a starting for other analysis from other designer. OR I would like to put some interesting things on there to share with my friends~~~~

Color Forecasting Report in 2010 fall (Marc Jacobs)

This table also is analysed for me.
2010 can be a starting, It also can be a ending for the decade so 2010 maybe a amazing year in the fashion world , especially in the MJ world.
There are some factors to forecast the color trend in fall winter collection 2010 for MJ.

1)Personal factor
Marc Jacobs likes using blue and achromatic colors very much.
In fact, blue , grey and black are Jacobs favourite colors.

For these photos, Jacobs like wearing blue shirts and achromatic clothes, he also like matching blue accessories for his look. It is obvious that the reason for blue is often used for every season. Blue is almost consist of 25 % of the whole 5 years. It play an essential role in Jacobs ‘ s collection.

Also, achromatic colors is also important and MJ like it so I will forecast that will appear in fall winter collection 2010..


2)The frequency of color using
Expect of blue and achromatic, red and yellow , these primary colors which will be used in MJ fall winter collection 2010.. Jacobs will keep on using same hue, but using different saturation and value so we often see the monochromatic color scheme in his collection.

Violet may consists of several outfits in 2010 as its frequency have been increased since 2008 S/S collection.

3)the value of color
Marc Jacobs like using different value of hue for design his collection between two season every year.
For example, Jacobs used low value for S/S season in 2005-2008 and he used high value for fall season in 2005-2008.

Most of the designs will also use different value for their collection. However, 2009 fall season is a difference. The color is low value and Jacobs used a gloomy stage to emphasize light outfits.

Thus, I forecast some low value of colors will be keep on being important in fall winter collection 2010.

4)Other factor
2009 full collection, Jacobs want to bring a joy to someone when someone dress his outfits.2010 is a special year which should be a wonderful year to face the ending of 10 year in 20 century and starting. Therefore, I forecast Jacobs will use warm colors to welcome this year such as red, green, yellow in fall winter collection 2010.

Color scheme in 2010 (Marc Jacobs)

This two table is analysed by me.
In fact , Monochromatic Color scheme and Achromatic
are often used by Marc Jacobs every season so we have an opportunity to see these color scheme in 2010.

Complimentary Color scheme is continuous to be used for four seasons. It will appear again in 2010~~

For other color scheme, Jacobs like using some special color scheme for his collection although he just use these color scheme few of outfits, maybe 1~2.

2009 fall (6) My favourite collection (Analysis)

2009 fall collection is my favourite collection. It is very hot. I like the whole color schemes and tones. It is FANTASTIC!! In fact, I like the meaning from Jacobs want to share with us.

As we all know, there was a decline of economy in the world become of Financial Tsunami. Someone is so depressed and anxious. For their world, it look like dull and monotonous. Also, it just look like a stage in 2009 fall collection. The stage is lighting is gloomy and the black color is the main for the first outfit.










































However, encouraging people to buoy up is the aim for this collection.

Jacobs used much warm color for this collection(look at these picture).such as red, green,yellow. For blue this color, he also used high level of hue (light) to make a warm feeling to people.















































































Furthermore, we see many gold color in this collection.
When we see the gold color, we can image about money or economy. It like to shine in the stage so it is meaning of the collection.

Yes, Jacobs want to bring a joy to someone. In fact, there were many outfits that they were the style in 80s.

In 80s, the lives of the people are stable because of the rise of economy. Thus, Jacobs want to use this collection to encourage us to be positive to face our life.

Jacobs insists that he wasn't thinking about the economy when he was working on the collection but I also insist that he want to share something to us.
Everyone can get different meaning , but I can get this meaning this collection that it is the main reason I like this collection very much. HAHA~~

2009 fall (5) Analysis & influence

"Leave it to Marc Jacobs to deliver a neon-hued, big-shouldered, crimpy-haired eighties antidote to the gloom and doom of 2009. "I was thinking about the good old days in New York," he said after the show, "when getting dressed up was such a joy." By the good old days, Jacobs means the nights he spent at clubs like Area, the Palladium, and Paradise Garage. Maybe it was the recent Stephen Sprouse project he completed at Louis Vuitton, or perhaps it's the fact that he now lives in Paris full time, but his Fall show was a big, juicy nostalgic kiss to a city that doesn't really exist anymore.
