"The show started off on a somber note with nubby black jackets and midcalf-length navy skirts that floated mysteriously around the models' legs, as if they'd been pumped up with air.
There's room in Jacobs' story for a tomboy or two, and they were dressed the part in rugby-striped sweaters that brought his grunge collection to mind.
Overall, however, these were clothes for girls who lead fairy tale lives, and quite a few of them—Uma Thurman, Drew Barrymore, Lisa Marie, and Lil' Kim included—were on hand to enjoy the spectacle."

"A very eclectic collection that has something for the girly girl and the tomboy next door, the debutante in millionairerow and the well-traveled lady who always goes to Europe, Marc Jacobs nonchalantly mixed and matched influences to come up with a collection that works.
Like a great storyteller, Marc Jacobs can take you to a labyrinth of subplots, then show you in the end that everything is part of one big plot, a fashion tale that has a beginning, climax and denouement when the designer takes his bow.
Marc Jacob Fall 2005 collection played with volume and draping in every aspect, as part of fluid lines in his flounce skirts to the architecturally constructed balloons on dresses and gowns. "

For Marc Jacobs fall 2005 collection, it is an eclectic coolection which played with volume and drapping.
Fashion maybe in the throes of a flirty, girly, hangover but Jacobs took things in the opposite direction for his coolection. Some outfits made even slim models look baggy yet luxurious coats, lots of dark colors.
We can see that Jacbs proved he is unique and special this season.
